BRIDGE second plenary meeting

On 27 February 2026, all partners of the BRIDGE project got together to discuss progress on the project's initial milestones and ongoing activities.

This was the first time that all partners had gathered to discuss the project in its entirety since its kick-off in October 2025.

Workshop on intermodal data exchange - UIC IT SG x UIRR

On 24 February 2026, the BRIDGE Project brought together Railway Undertakings, Combined Transport Operators, Logistics Service Providers and Terminal Operators to further develop topics related to data exchange and data sharing across the intermodal chain.

IT Platform workshop

On 27 January 2026, the BRIDGE Project brought together IT platform providers from the CT sector for a workshop dedicated to discussing and exchanging perspectives on the key challenges faced by providers of ICT platforms offering digital solutions for intermodal freight transport.

TSI Telematics Information Session

On 20 January 2026, the UIRR has led an information session on the new TSI Telematics adopted in November 2025. During this session, UIRR has offered them a more tangible understanding of the new TSI and to discuss the challenges of its implementation.

eFTI Taskforce

On 15 January, the UIRR and the BRIDGE partner launched a taskforce to address the eFTI Regulation and its implications for the Combined Transport sector. The meeting provided an opportunity to present the details of the eFTI Regulation and the progress of its implementation, as well as to assess the associated costs and opportunities of compliance.

Work Package 2 kick-off

On 24 November 2025, the the BRIDGE Project partners gathered to officially launched the beginning of its studies within the framework of its work package 2. During this meeting, the various tasks and objectives to analyse gaps in current digital ecosystems within door-to-door intermodal chains and potential evolution to conceptualise initial recommendations

UIC & UIRR workshop

On 18 November 2025, the International Union of Railways joined forces with UIRR to support the BRIDGE Project during a dedicated UIC ITSG – UIRR workshop. This fruitful session provided a valuable opportunity to engage with key actors from the railway sector, exchange perspectives, and explore how BRIDGE can contribute to advancing innovation and interoperability across the industry.

BRIDGE Project kick-off

On 2 October 2025, the BRIDGE Project officially launched with its kick‑off meeting in Vienna. The event brought partners together to connect, review the roadmap for the next 36 months, and exchange on the project’s shared objectives. This event was a great opportunity for the consortium to gather and align on the prospects for the upcoming months during which BRIDGE will take place.
