24 November 2025
On 24 November 2025, the the BRIDGE Project partners gathered to officially launched the beginning of its study within the framework of its work package 2.
For starters, an input on the latest legislative developments at the European level was given. In particular, we discussed the new TSI Telematics recently adopted by the members States, as well as the eFTI Regulation with the new implementing act published on 6th November 2025 laying down detailed specifications regarding the functional requirements for eFTI platforms.
After a brief reminder of the project's scope, we dived into the various tasks of the WP2, which is composed of 3 key tasks.
The objective of the tasks is to review advancements, challenges and practices in data sharing and collaboration. To achieve this, several methods will be used to collect relevant data, including surveys, interviews, case studies and the TSI Telematics Readiness Survey. Within this task, the focus is on the following areas: Technology; real-time and predictive analytics; organisation; regulation; and business models.
Planning:
Summary and report until 27.02.26
ERA / CINEA review by 30.03.26
For this task, we will produce a systematic mapping of door-to-door intermodal processes, considering every step and stakeholder of the intermodal chain during the first mile, terminal and transfer, main leg and last mile, from pre-transport to post-delivery.
This final mapping will be a key project deliverable and will be presented as process maps in the form of flowcharts and swimlane diagrams. For this, the focus will be on two or three selected flows as 'as-is'/good practice references, using data from documentation of IT architectures and data exchange elements.
This final task of the Work Package (WP) is an essential step in the BRIDGE Project as a whole, as it builds on the results of tasks 2.1 and 2.2 to analyse gaps in current digital ecosystems within door-to-door intermodal chains and potential evolution scenarios up to 2030. The aim of this analysis is to conceptualise initial recommendations, including:
